These channels are available on the membrane of many types of neurons including cerebellar Purkinje cells. Several experimental studies have used iberiotoxin, a BK-specific channel blocker, to investigate the role of BK channels on electrophysiological behavior of Purkinje cells. Due to controversial results of mentioned research, we used computer simulation to assess the functional contribution of BK channels to the firing activity of Purkinje cells.Methods: Two realistic models of Purkinje cells with and without dendritic branches were used to investigate the functional contribution of BK channel to the firing activity of Purkinje cells. The simulations were performed in NEURON 7.1 simulator.Findings: The simulations using single compartment model (without dendritic branches) demonstrated that blocking BK channels slightly increased firing rate from 40 to 45 Hz. Simulation with the multi-compartmental model, which included the dendrites as well as the soma, showed that blocking BK channels abolished Ca2+ spikes while sodium (Na+) spikes remained unchanged.Conclusion: The results obtained from simulations indicated that blocking BK channels has no significant effect on the tonic firing rate of Purkinje cells. Simulations also showed that dendritic BK channels have more effect on firing behavior of Purkinje cells compared with somatic BK channels.Keywords: Purkinje cell, Calcium-activated potassium channel, Spike potential}, keywords = {}, title_fa = {اثر مکمل‌ و فعالیت بی‌هوازی بر شاخص‌های استرس اکسایشی در ورزشکاران واترپلو}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: با توجه به عدم وجود اطلاعات کامل در مورد تأثیرات ورزش بی‌هوازی به همراه مصرف مکمل ویتامینی بر شاخص‌های استرس اکسایشی و پراکسیداسیون چربی غشای سلولی، تحقیق حاضر به بررسی تأثیر مصرف مکمل ویتامین E و C پس از فعالیت بی‌هوازی بر میزان مالون دی آلدیید (Malondialdehyde یا MDA) و آنزیم‌های ضد اکسایشی ‌سوپراکسید دسموتاز (Superoxide dismutase یا SOD)، گلوتاتیون پراکسیداز (Glutathione peroxidas یا GPX)، کاتالاز (Catalase یا CAT) و ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی ‌تام (Total antioxidant capacity یا TAC)، در ورزشکاران نوجوان واترپلوی منتخب استان آذربایجان ‌غربی، انجام گردید.روش‌ها: این مطالعه یک مطالعه‌ی نیمه‌ تجربی دو سو ‌کور بود. 16 نفر شناگر واترپلوی پسر که حداقل 2 سال سابقه‌ی شرکت در مسابقات کشوری داشتند، به عنوان نمونه انتخاب شدند و به طور تصادفی در دو گروه مکمل (ویتامین E و C) و دارونما تقسیم شدند. پس از 2 هفته مصرف مکمل ویتامینی در گروه مکمل (400 میلی‌گرم ویتامین C و 200 واحد ویتامین E) و دکستروز در گروه دارونما (روزانه 400 واحد همراه با 250 میلی‌لیتر آب) در سه زمان مختلف (قبل، بلافاصله و30 دقیقه پس از رکوردگیری 100 متر شنای آزاد) خون‌گیری انجام گردید. برای تجزیه و تحلیل‌‌ داده‌ها از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه‌ی 18 و آزمون تحلیل واریانس مرکب استفاده شد.یافته‌ها: میزان MDA و فعالیت آنزیم‌های SOD، GPX و CAT به طور معنی‌داری کاهش یافت (05/0 > P) و TAC به طور معنی‌دار افزایش یافت (05/0 > P).نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس یافته‌های این تحقیق می‌توان اظهار داشت که ممکن است مصرف ویتامین‌های E و  Cسبب افزایش TAC شود و به این دلیل اثرات تخریبی اکساینده‌ها بر غشای لیپیدی سلول و فعالیت آنزیم‌های ضد اکسایشی، کاهش یافت.واژگان کلیدی: دفاع اکسایشی، ویتامین‌هاى C و E، ورزشکاران واترپلو}, keywords_fa = {}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_13855.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_13855_74fdefc0010c5e846db4c0c442791f30.pdf} }
