The certain diagnosis of disease is established on isolation of brucella from blood and other clinical samples. So, because of fastidious nature of this organism and problems in its isolation by conventional methods, and attending to the high prevalence of brucellosis in Kashan, Iran, the BACTEC9050 blood culture system was used in this survey for diagnosis of brucella bacteremia; advantages of this method has been discussed, too.Methods: In this descriptive research, the blood samples of 206 patients suspected to brucellosis were studied in Brain-Heart Infusion (BHI) broth and BACTEC9050 blood culture system simultaneously.Findings: In a period of 5 days, from 206 samples, totally 50 cases were positive; 32 cases were positive in both methods and 18 cases were positive only in BACTEC method. Continuing the incubation, 14 cases became positive but 4 cases were negative, even after 30 days of incubation. The average incubation period for specimens to become positive was 4 days.Conclusion: The BACTEC automatic system reduced the examination process, and economized the time and the material. In cases that this system is not available for diagnosis of brucella, it is recommended to keep the final subcultures in 37°C for 1 month to get better diagnostic results.  }, keywords = {Brucellosis,Blood culture,BACTEC method}, title_fa = {تشخیص بروسلوز به وسیله‌ی سیستم کشت خون BACTEC}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: بروسلوز یک بیماری عفونی زئونوز و آندمیک در ایران می‌باشد. تشخیص قطعی بیماری بر جداسازی بروسلا از خون یا سایر نمونه‌های بالینی استوار است که با توجه به سخت رشد بودن این ارگانیسم و مشکلات جداسازی آن در روش‌های متداول، به صورت فراگیر انجام نمی‌شود. با توجه به شیوع بالای بیماری در کاشان و مشکلات تشخیصی آن، در این مطالعه از سیستم کشت خون 9050BACTEC جهت تشخیص باکتریمی بروسلایی استفاده شد و مزایای این روش مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.روش‌ها: در این مطالعه‌ی توصیفی در بیمارستان شهید بهشتی کاشان، نمونه‌های 206 فرد مشکوک به بروسلوز، در محیط Brain-Heart Infusion Broth (BHI broth) و در سیستم کشت خون 9050BACTEC به طور هم‌زمان بررسی شد.یافته‌ها: در محدوده‌ی زمانی 5 روز، از 206 نمونه، 50 مورد کشت از نظر بروسلا مثبت شد که از این تعداد، 32 مورد به هر دو روش و 18 مورد تنها در روش BACTEC مثبت بود. با ادامه‌ی انکوباسیون، 14 مورد مثبت گردید اما 4 مورد از کشت‌ها، حتی پس از 30 روز انکوباسیون، باز هم منفی بود. مدت انکوباسیون مورد نیاز جهت مثبت شدن نمونه‌ها به طور متوسط 4 روز بود.نتیجه‌گیری: سیستم کشت BACTEC باعث کوتاه شدن فرایند انجام آزمایش و صرفه‌جویی در وقت و مواد مصرفی می‌شود. در صورت عدم دسترسی به این سیستم در تشخیص بروسلا، توصیه می‌گردد، آخرین نمونه جهت بررسی بیشتر، به مدت یک ماه در C°37 نگهداری شود.}, keywords_fa = {بروسلوز,کشت خون,روش BACTEC}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14516.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14516_3173ce33572b1211a43425774b06df4e.pdf} }
