Several studies have confirmed these deficits. In the other hand, depression has considerable evidence in these patients; whereas, depression can affect the cognitive performances; it is possible that some of these confirmed cognitive deficits had been caused by depression. This study investigated and compared the cognitive performances of depressed and non-depressed patients with multiple sclerosis and healthy controls.Methods: In this causal-comparative research, 52 patients with multiple sclerosis (26 depressed and 26 non-depressed patients) from Kashani hospital in Isfahan, Iran, and 26 healthy controls were selected. They were assessed through the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), Color Trail Test (CTT), verbal memory test and visual memory test. The data was analyzed using covariance method.Findings: There were significant differences in attention, immediate and delayed (recall) verbal memory performance between the depressed patients with multiple sclerosis and the two other groups (P = 0.002). In additon, there were significant differences in delayed (recall and recognition) visual memory performance between healthy group and the two other groups (P = 0.020). But, there were no significant differences, in immediate visual and delayed (recognition) verbal memory performances, between the three groups.Conclusion: The cognitive performance of the patients with multiple sclerosis not only is affected by neurologic injuries but also it is affected by depression. Depression can cause or intensify the cognitive deficits of the patients with multiple sclerosis.}, keywords = {Multiple Sclerosis,Depression,Attention,Visual Memory,Verbal memory}, title_fa = {افسردگی و عملکردهای شناختی در بیماران مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: نقص در عملکردهای شناختی از شکایت‌های رایج بیماران مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس (MS یا Multiple sclerosis) می‌باشد و پژوهش‌های متعددی وجود این نقص‌ها را تأیید کرده‌اند. از طرف دیگر، افسردگی نیز در بین این بیماران شیوع بالایی دارد. از آن جایی که افسردگی می‌تواند عملکردهای شناختی را تحت تأثیر قرار دهد، ممکن است بخشی از نقص‌های شناختی تأیید شده در این بیماران ناشی از افسردگی باشد. از این رو، پژوهش حاضر به مقایسه‌ی عملکردهای شناختی در سه گروه بیماران مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس افسرده و غیر افسرده و افراد سالم و نیز به شناسایی عملکردهایی پرداخته است که تحت تأثیر افسردگی این بیماران قرار می‌گیرد.روش‌ها: در پژوهش علی- مقایسه‌ای حاضر، 52 بیمار مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس (26 بیمار افسرده و 26 بیمار غیر افسرده) مراجعه کننده به کلینیک مولتیپل اسکلروزیس بیمارستان آیت‌اله کاشانی اصفهان و 26 فرد سالم انتخاب شدند و به پرسش‌نامه‌ی افسردگی Beck (BDI-II یا Beck depression inventory- second edition)، آزمون ردیابی رنگ (CTT یا Color trail test)، آزمون حافظه‌ی شنیداری و آزمون حافظه‌ی دیداری پاسخ دادند. داده‌ها با استفاده از روش کوواریانس تحلیل شدیافته‌ها: تفاوت معنی‌داری در عملکرد توجه، حافظه‌ی شنیداری فوری و تأخیری (یادآوری) بین گروه بیماران مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس افسرده با دو گروه بیماران غیر افسرده و افراد سالم وجود داشت (002/0 = P)؛ در حالی که، عملکرد حافظه‌ی دیداری تأخیری (یادآوری و بازشناسی) بین گروه افراد سالم با دو گروه بیمار، به طور معنی‌داری متفاوت بود (020/0 = P). در عملکردهای حافظه‌ی دیداری فوری و حافظه‌ی شنیداری تأخیری (بازشناسی) نیز بین سه گروه، تفاوت معنی‌داری وجود نداشت.نتیجه‌گیری: علاوه بر آسیب‌های نورولوژیک، افسردگی نیز می‌تواند نقص‌های شناختی بیماران مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس را ایجاد یا تشدید کند. }, keywords_fa = {مولتیپل اسکلروزیس,افسردگی,توجه,حافظه‌ی دیداری,حافظه‌ی شنیداری}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14621.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14621_7940ca810b2354fbb7ca95394e5f27da.pdf} }
