Different methods are used to manage and treat this disorder that one of them is Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). The purpose of this study was assessment of safety, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) technology in treatment of major depressive disorder.Methods: In order to gather evidence, main databases [Cochrane Library, Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD), PubMed, Scopus, Trip, Embase, Inahta, PsycINFO, Google Scholar] were searched with appropriate keywords and strategies. After quality assessment of studies, consequences of safety and efficacy of the technology were extracted and Stata 12 software was used, if needed, for meta-analysis.Findings: From a total of 273 studies, 43 studies were entered firstly and 8 studies were selected after final review. The amount of standardised mean difference (SMD) was equal to -0.3 with a %95 confidence interval of -0.82 to 0.23 for rTMS-treated group versus sham group with a substantial rate and significant heterogeneity (P < 0.001, I-Squared = 81.9%).Conclusion: Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a method with significant and high safety. On other side, its efficacy, compared to sham group, is not very significant.}, keywords = {Major Depression,Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS),Safety,Efficacy}, title_fa = {ایمنی و اثربخشی تحریک مغناطیسی مغز (TMS) و تحریک مکرر مغناطیسی مغز (rTMS) در درمان اختلال افسردگی اساسی: مرور نظام‌مند و متاآنالیز}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: اختلال افسردگی اساسی به سبب شیوع قابل ملاحظه و درگیر نمودن گروه‌های سنی فعال و بهره‌ور جوامع طی دهه‌های اخیر، سهم قابل توجهی از بار بیماری‌ها را در کشورهای توسعه یافته و در حال توسعه به خود اختصاص داده است. روش‌های مختلفی برای مدیریت و درمان این بیماری به کار می‌رود که یکی از این روش‌ها، استفاده از فن‌آوری تحریک مغناطیسی مغز می‌باشد. هدف از انجام این مطالعه، ارزیابی ایمنی، اثربخشی فن‌آوری تحریک مغناطیسی مغز (TMS یا Transcranial magnetic stimulation) و تحریک مکرر مغناطیسی مغز (rTMS یا Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) در درمان اختلال افسردگی اساسی بود.روش‌ها: به منظور جمع‌آوری شواهد، مهم‌ترین بانک‌های اطلاعاتی Cochrane library، CRD (Centre for reviews and dissemination)، Pubmed، Scopus، Trip، Embase، Inahta، PsycINFO و Google Scholar با کلید واژه‌های مناسب و راهبرد مخصوص هر یک جستجو گردید. پس از ارزیابی کیفیت مطالعات پیامدهای ایمنی، اثربخشی فن‌آوری استخراج گردید. در مواردی که به متاآنالیز نیاز بود، از نرم‌افزار 12 Stata استفاده شد.یافته‌ها: از 273 مطالعه‌ی مرتبط، 43 مطالعه در مرحله‌ی اول وارد گردید که پس از بررسی نهایی، 8 مطالعه جهت انجام متاآنالیز انتخاب شد. مقدار اثربخشی درمانی TMS (r) در برابر گروه Sham، 3/0- (23/0-82/0- :CI 95 درصد) با میزان ناهمگونی قابل توجه و معنی‌دار (9/81 درصد = I-Squared و 001/0 > P) بود.نتیجه‌گیری: روش rTMS روشی با ایمنی قابل ملاحظه و بالا می‌باشد. از طرف دیگر، میزان اثربخشی آن بین دو گروه تحت درمان با این روش و گروه Sham چندان قابل توجه نیست.}, keywords_fa = {تحریک مغناطیسی مغز,افسردگی اساسی,ایمنی,اثربخشی}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14647.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14647_dc0990389098a4a38c66a3be9c8ebccb.pdf} }
