Although it has spontaneously remitting course, but the treatment is often recommended to shorten the duration of illness and limit the size of the scar. First-line therapy is topical or systemic glucantime; but because of its serious complications, it is attempted to find better drugs with fewer side effects. This study aimed to assess the skin reactions in patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis treated with topical glucantime.Methods: This prospective cohort study was performed on all patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis treated with topical glucantime and referred to the Skin and Leishmaniasis Research Center, Isfahan, in 2010-2011. Skin side effects caused by this type of the treatment were analyzed.Findings: 130 patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis treated with topical glucantime were studied. The mean age of the patients was 16.38 ± 23.97 years. In 38.5 percent of patients, skin side effects were observed that were mainly maculopapuler rashs with pruritic (12.3 percent). The mean duration of treatment initiation until the appearance of skin side effects was 12.66 ± 20.98 days. There was no significant relationship between the clinical type and the site of the lesions and the appearance of skin side effects (P > 0.05).Conclusion: Skin side effects were mainly maculopapuler rashes with pruritic in patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis treated with topical glucantime. According to skin side effects induced by topical glucantime, importance and necessity of the injection method and the use of adjuvant therapy is emphasized according to indications of topical treatment of patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis.}, keywords = {Glucantime,Skin side effects,Cutaneous leishmaniasis}, title_fa = {بررسی عوارض پوستی گلوکانتیم موضعی در بیماران مبتلا به لیشمانیوز جلدی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: بیماری لیشمانیوز جلدی (سالک) دراکثر نقاط ایران به طور اندمیک دیده می‌شود و به عنوان یک معضل بهداشتی- درمانی مطرح می‌باشد. اگر چه، سیر خودبه‌خود بهبود یابنده دارد، اما به منظور کوتاه نمودن مدت بیماری و محدود کردن اندازه‌ی اسکار ناشی از آن، اغلب توصیه به درمان می‌شود. خط اول درمان، تزریق موضعی یا سیستمیک گلوکانتیم می‌باشد که به دلیل عوارض جدی آن، تلاش برای یافتن داروی مناسب‌تر با عوارض کمتر همچنان ادامه دارد. این مطالعه، با هدف بررسی واکنش‌های پوستی در بیماران مبتلا به لیشمانیوز جلدی تحت درمان با گلوکانتیم موضعی انجام گرفت.روش‌ها: این مطالعه به صورت هم‌گروهی و آینده‌نگر بر روی تمامی بیماران مبتلا به لیشمانیوز جلدی مراجعه ‌کننده به مرکز تحقیقات پوست و سالک اصفهان در سال‌های 90-1389 که تحت درمان با گلوکانتیم موضعی قرار گرفتند، انجام شد. عوارض پوستی ایجاد شده با این نوع درمان مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: 130 بیمار مبتلا به لیشمانیوز جلدی که تحت درمان گلوکانتیم موضعی بودند، مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. میانگین سن بیماران 38/16 ± 97/23 سال بود. در 5/38 درصد از بیماران، عوارض پوستی مشاهده شد که اغلب به صورت راش ماکولوپاپولر همراه با خارش و اریتم (3/12 درصد) بود. میانگین مدت زمان شروع درمان با گلوکانتیم موضعی تا ظهور عوارض پوستی، 66/12 ± 98/20 روز بود. بین نوع و محل ضایعات و ظهور عوارض پوستی، ارتباط معنی‌داری وجود نداشت (050/0 < P).نتیجه‌گیری: عوارض پوستی ناشی از تزریق موضعی گلوکانتیم، اغلب راش ماکولوپاپولر همراه با خارش و اریتم و در محل دست بود. با توجه به ایجاد عوارض پوستی ناشی از تزریق موضعی گلوکانتیم، اهمیت موضع درمان و چگونگی روش تزریق و لزوم به کارگیری درمان توأم بر اساس اندیکاسیون درمان موضعی در بیماران مبتلا به لیشمانیوز جلدی مورد تأکید قرار می‌گیرد.}, keywords_fa = {لوکانتیم,عوارض پوستی,لیشمانیوز جلدی}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14656.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14656_c39d6114459c69243a091aef6cc5bbf2.pdf} }
