Balance disturbance is a specific risk factor for falling in these patients. The correlation between the stability parameters based on force plate data and fear of falling was not assessed in any of previous study. So, this study aimed to evaluate the standing stability of patients with stroke and its correlation with fear of falling.Methods: Ten patients with stroke and 10 normal subjects matched based on the age, height, weight and sex were recruited for this study. Kistler force plate and the Falls Efficacy Scale-International (FES-I) questionnaire were employed to evaluate the stability and fear of falling, respectively. The difference of stability parameters between the two groups was checked using independent samples t-test; and the correlation between the stability and fear of falling in patients with stroke was assessed using Pearson correlation coefficient.Findings: Based on the variables of the center of pressure, the stability of patients with stroke was significantly less than that of normal subjects (P < 0.05). There was no significant correlation between the stability parameters and fear of falling in patients with stroke (P > 0.05).Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, decreased stability is not the main risk factor for falling and also fear of falling in patients with chronic stroke. So, simultaneous control of other predisposing risk factors for fear of falling is helpful to understand their relevance in falling and also to find the appropriate rehabilitative program to reduce the risk of falling in patients with stroke.}, keywords = {Stroke,Standing stability,Center of pressure,fear of falling}, title_fa = {بررسی تعادل ایستگاهی و ارتباط آن با میزان ترس از افتادن در بیماران دچار سکته‌ی مغزی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: جلوگیری از وقوع زمین خوردگی، یک هدف مهم در فرایند توان‌بخشی بیماران دچار سکته‌ی مغزی است. اختلال تعادل، یکی از عوامل خطر اصلی در وقوع زمین خوردگی در مرحله‌ی مزمن سکته‌ی مغزی می‌باشد. با این حال، در هیچ یک از مطالعات پیشین، ارتباط بین تعادل بر اساس یافته‌های صفحه‌ی نیرو و ترس از زمین خوردن مورد بررسی قرار نگرفته بود. هدف از انجام مطالعه‌ی حاضر، بررسی ارتباط بین تعادل و ترس از زمین خوردن با استفاده از صفحه‌ی نیرو بود.روش‌ها: در این مطالعه‌ی مقطعی، 10 بیمار دچار سکته‌ی مغزی در مرحله‌ی مزمن و 10 فرد سالم تطبیق یافته با بیماران از لحاظ متغیرهای مخدوش کننده، شرکت کردند. جهت بررسی تعادل شرکت کنندگان، از صفحه‌ی فشار Kistler و به منظور تعیین ترس از زمین خوردن، از پرسش‌نامه‌ی Falls Efficacy Scale-International (FES-I) استفاده شد. به منظور مقایسه‌ی پارامترهای تعادل بیماران و افراد سالم، از آزمون آماری Independent t و جهت تعیین ارتباط بین پارامترهای تعادل و ترس از زمین خوردن، از آزمون همبستگی Pearson استفاده گردید.یافته‌ها: تعادل بیماران بر اساس متغیرهای مرکز فشار بدن به میزان قابل توجهی کمتر از تعادل افراد سالم بود (05/0 > P). ارتباط قابل توجهی بین پارامترهای تعادل و ترس از زمین خوردگی در بیماران دچار سکته‌ی مغزی وجود نداشت (05/0 < P).نتیجه‌گیری: کاهش تعادل بیماران دچار سکته‌ی مغزی مزمن، عامل اصلی در وقوع زمین خوردگی و ترس از آن نیست. از این‌رو، بررسی و کنترل هم‌زمان دیگر عوامل ایجاد ترس از افتادن در شناخت بهتر عوامل مؤثر در وقوع زمین خوردگی و ترس از آن و انتخاب راه‌کارهای مناسب توان‌بخشی، در جلوگیری از آن کمک کننده است.}, keywords_fa = {سکته‌ی مغزی,تعادل ایستگاهی,مرکز فشار بدن,ترس از زمین خوردگی}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14826.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14826_effadc41e0a74b362f1257316c31120f.pdf} }
