Choosing a proper enteral nutrition solution to provide their energy and nutrients requirements are very important. The present study aimed to compare the quality of commercial and non-commercial enteral nutrition solutions and evaluate their ability to meet nutritional needs of ICU patients.Methods: This study was performed among 150 patients fed non-commercial enteral nutrition solutions and 120 patients fed commercial enteral nutrition solutions. Qualitative information such as age, sex and admission diagnosis was recorded from patient’s chart. Also the data regarding height, weight, arm circumference, Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) score and nutritional needs and intakes were measured. Data analysis was performed by SPSS software.Findings: Although all values of nutrients in commercial enteral nutrition solutions was more than non-commercial enteral nutrition solutions, these differences regarding energy, protein, carbohydrates, phosphorus and calcium were not statistically significant. Nutritions delivered (energy, macro and micronutrients) in patients fed commercial enteral nutrition solutions was higher (P < 0.001). Energy, carbohydrate and fat required in patients fed commercial enteral nutrition solutions has been provided, but protein intake was less than the required amount. In patients fed non-commercial enteral nutrition solutions only values of fat requirement and fat intake was not significantly different, but other delivered amounts was less than the required amounts (P < 0.001).Conclusion: The contents of energy and nutrients in the commercial enteral nutrition solutions are more than the non-commercial enteral nutrition solutions. They can better meet the nutritional needs of patients.}, keywords = {Malnutrition,Enteral nutrition solutions,Nutritional status,Intensive care unit (ICU) patients}, title_fa = {مقایسه‌ی کیفیت دو نوع از محلول‌های تغذیه‌ی روده‌ای ( تجاری و غیر تجاری) و بررسی توانایی آن‌ها در تأمین نیازهای تغذیه‌ای بیماران بستری در بخش مراقبت‌های ویژه}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: سوء تغذیه، یکی از مشکلات عمده در بیماران بستری در بخش مراقبت‌های ویژه است. انتخاب محلول تغذیه‌ای مناسب به منظور فراهم ساختن انرژی و مواد مغذی مورد نیاز آن‌ها، بسیار حایز اهمیت است. مطالعه‌ی حاضر، با هدف مقایسه‌ی کیفیت دو نوع از محلول‌های تغذیه‌ی روده‌ای (دستی و تجاری) و بررسی توانایی آن‌ها در تأمین نیازهای تغذیه‌ای بیماران بستری در بخش مراقبت‌های ویژه، به انجام رسید.روش‌ها: این مطالعه، بر روی 150 بیمار تغذیه شده با محلول‌های گاواژ دستی و 120 بیمار تغذیه شده با محلول‌های گاواژ تجاری انجام گرفت. مواد مغذی نمونه‌های محلول‌های گاواژ دستی و تجاری، بر اساس گزارش آزمایشگاه مشخص شد. اطلاعات کیفی شامل سن، جنس و علت بستری از پرونده‌ی بیماران ثبت گردید. همچنین، مقادیر مربوط به قد، وزن، دور بازو، نمره‌ی شاخص Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II)، نیازها و دریافت‌های تغذیه‌ای بیماران اندازه‌گیری شد. تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS انجام گرفت.یافته‌ها: مقادیر تمامی مواد مغذی در محلول‌های گاواژ تجاری بیشتر بود. هر چند این تفاوت در مورد انرژی، پروتئین، کربوهیدارت، فسفر و کلسیم معنی‌دار نبود. دریافت‌های تغذیه‌ای (انرژی، درشت مغذی و ریز مغذی) در بیماران تغذیه شده با محلول‌های گاواژ تجاری بیشتر بود (001/0 > P). انرژی، کربوهیدارت و چربی مورد نیاز در بیماران تغذیه شده با محلول‌های گاواژ تجاری تأمین شد، اما پروتئین دریافتی کمتر از مقدار مورد نیاز آن‌ها بود. در بیماران تغذیه شده با محلول‌های گاواژ دستی، فقط چربی مورد نیاز و دریافتی تفاوت معنی‌داری نداشت، اما بقیه‌ی مقادیر دریافتی کمتر از مقادیر مورد نیاز بیماران بود (001/0 > P).نتیجه‌گیری: محتویات انرژی و مواد مغذی در محلول‌های گاواژ تجاری، بیشتر از محلول‌های گاواژ دستی است و بهتر می‌تواند نیازهای تغذیه‌ای بیماران را تأمین کند}, keywords_fa = {سوء تغذیه,محلول‌های تغذیه‌ی روده‌ای,وضعیت تغذیه,بیماران بستری در بخش مراقبت‌های ویژه}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14957.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_14957_3a0e36a458f8b9cc6c84fe7faa0e11db.pdf} }
