Six techniques were performed and compared. Finally, by comparing the dose volume histograms (DVH), average dose received by each organ was determined and the best method was introduced. Techniques were as: 1. an ipsilateral wedge pair technique using 6 MV photons; 2. a 3-field anteroposterior (AP) (wedged) posteroanterior (PA) (wedged) and lateral portal technique using 6 MV photons; 3. a mixed beam technique using 6 MV photons and 12 MeV electrons (1:4 weighting); 4. a mixed beam technique using 6 MV photons and 15 MeV electrons (1:4 weighting); 5: four 6 MV photon beams with different gantry angles; and 6. similar to fifth technique with an additional small ring around the tumor tissue.Findings: Intensity-modulated arc therapy (IMRT) techniques five and six delivered maximum dose to the target and minimum dose to organ at risks (OAR). Among 3-D conformal radiotherapy techniques (CRT), technique number two delivered more amount of dose to the target than techniques number three and four. The dose delivered to the contrary parotid gland was negligible for intensity-modulated arc therapy techniques.Conclusion: Intensity-modulated arc therapy techniques are most appropriate methods for treating cancer of the parotid gland and the sixth technique delivered better dose distribution in the tumor and healthy tissues. Second D conformal radiotherapy technique delivered higher average dose to the target.}, keywords = {Cancer treatment protocols,3-D conformal radiotherapy,Intensity-modulated arc therapy}, title_fa = {ارزیابی و مقایسه‌ی تکنیک‌های مختلف پرتودرمانی سه بعدی انطباقی (3D-Conformal) و Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) برای درمان سرطان غده‌ی پاروتید}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: در این مطالعه، مقایسه‌ای بین دز جذبی پاروتید و بافت حساس اطراف آن در انواع طراحی درمان‌های مختلف جهت دستیابی به تکنیک بهینه‌ی درمان انجام گردید. دز جذبی اعضای مختلف با استفاده از نرم‌افزار طراحی درمان اندازه‌گیری شد.روش‌ها: طراحی و انجام کانتورینگ بر روی اسکن 15 بیمار، با استفاده از نرم‌افزار TiGRT صورت گرفت. 6 تکنیک مقایسه شدند. در نهایت، با مقایسه‌ی میانگین دز رسیده به هر عضو با استفاده از نمودار Dose volume histogram (DVH) تکنیک بهینه معرفی گردید. تکینک‌های استفاده شده شامل 1) جفت وج یک‌طرفه با فوتون‌های 6 مگاولت، 2) سه فیلد قدامی- خلفی و خلفی- قدامی وج شده و جانبی با فوتون 6 مگاولت، 3) ترکیبی از بیم‌های فوتون 6 مگاولت و الکترون 12 مگاالکترون‌ولت با وزن 1:4، 4) ترکیبی از بیم‌های فوتون 6 مگاولت و الکترون 15 مگاالکترون‌ولت با وزن 1:4، 5) Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) 4 عدد بیم فوتون 6 مگاولت با زوایای گانتری مختلف و 6) همانند تکنیک 5 به علاوه‌ی کانتور یک حاشیه‌ی کوچک اطراف بافت تومورال بودند.یافته‌ها: تکنیک‌های 5 و6 که تکنیک‌های IMRT بودند، بیشترین دز را به تومور و کمترین دز را به بافت‌های سالم اطراف تومور می‌رساندند. در بین تکنیک‌های سه بعدی انطباقی (3D-Conformal radiation therapy)، تکنیک 2، میزان دز بیشتر و تکنیک‌های 3 و 4 دز کمتری به تومور دادند. در تکنیک‌های IMRT، می‌توان از میزان دز رسیده به پاروتید مقابل صرف نظر نمود.نتیجه‌گیری: تکنیک‌های IMRT، مناسب‌ترین روش برای درمان سرطان غده‌ی پاروتید می‌باشند و تکنیک 6، نتیجه‌ی بهتری را در میزان توزیع دز رسیده هم به بافت تومورال و هم به بافت سالم دارد. در بین روش‌های انطباقی، تکنیک 2 متوسط دز تحویلی بیشتری به تومور دارد.}, keywords_fa = {طراحی درمان,پرتو درمانی سه بعدی انطباقی,Intensity-modulated radiation therapy}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15155.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15155_3fc3cdaad6e24041883607acbe28ad99.pdf} }
