Regarding the unpleasant side effects of anti-nausea and anti-vomiting drugs, as well as prolonged hospital stay, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of acupressure PC6 and REN 12 points on nausea intensity of patients undergoing inguinal hernia surgery.Methods: This was a double-blind randomized clinical trial study performed on 60 patients undergoing inguinal hernia repair in two groups of intervention. After the surgery and full patient consciousness, acupressure was applied on PC6 and REN 12 points separately in each group for 5 minutes; 2, 4, and 6 hours later, acupressure was repeated on those points. Two hours after each acupressure, severity of nausea were determined using a visual analog scale (VAS). Data were analyzed using t, chi-square, and Fisher’s tests via SPSS software.Findings: In PC6 intervention group, recorded scores were as 16.17 ± 0.63, 8.83 ± 0.49, 2.97 ± 0.23, 0.50 ± 0.11, and 0.00 ± 0.00in without, mild, moderate, sever, and very sever nausea, respectively,  whereas in REN12 intervention group, these scores were as 18.70 ± 0.80, 14.53 ± 0.64, 6.67 ± 0.42, 2.47 ± 0.37, and 0.50 ± 0.47, respectively.Conclusion: Generally, acupressure particularly on the PC6 point reduces severity of nausea in patients after inguinal hernia surgery; these results are better compared to the REN12 point.}, keywords = {Acupressure,Nausea,Inguinal hernia}, title_fa = {تأثیر طب فشاری نقاط نیگوآن (PC6) و ژونگوآن (REN12) بر شدت تهوع بیماران بعد از جراحی ترمیم فتق مغبنی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: عمل جراحی ترمیم فتق مغبنی (Inguinal hernia) دارای عوارضی نظیر تهوع و استفراغ بعد از عمل است. با توجه به عوارض ناخوشایند استفاده از داروهای ضد تهوع و استفراغ و طولانی شدن مدت بستری بیماران، هدف از انجام این مطالعه، بررسی تأثیر طب فشاری روی نقاط نیگوآن و ژونگوآن بر شدت تهوع بیماران پس از انجام عمل جراحی فتق مغبنی بود.روش‌ها: مطالعه‌ی حاضر، یک کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی شده‌ی دو سوکور بود که بر روی 60 بیمار بعد از جراحی ترمیم فتق مغبنی در دو گروه انجام شد. بعد از اتمام عمل جراحی و هوشیاری کامل بیمار، به طور جداگانه در هر یک از گروه‌ها، بر روی نقاط PC6 و REN 12 به مدت 5 دقیقه فشار مناسب اعمال و در زمان‌های 2، 4 و 6 ساعت پس از اعمال طب فشاری، بار دیگر در نقاط پیش‌گفته تکرار گردید. دو ساعت بعد از هر بار اعمال طب فشاری، شدت تهوع با استفاده از مقیاس آنالوگ دیداری تعیین گردید. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه‌ی 20 و با استفاده از آزمون‌های Independent t، 2χ و Fisher’s exact تجزیه و تحلیل گردید.یافته‌ها: نمرات برای گروه PC6 در حالت‌های بدون تهوع (63/0 ± 17/16)، خفیف (49/0 ± 83/8)، متوسط (23/0 ± 97/2)، شدید (11/0 ± 50/0) و بسیار شدید (00/0 ± 00/0) و برای گروه REN12 به ترتیب 80/0 ± 7/18، 64/0 ± 53/14، 42/0 ± 67/6، 37/0 ± 47/2 و 47/0 ± 50/0 بود.نتیجه‌گیری: در مجموع، استفاده از طب فشاری به ویژه بر روی نقطه‌ی PC6 باعث کاهش شدت تهوع بیماران پس از انجام عمل جراحی فتق مغبنی می‌شود و نسبت به نقطه‌ی REN12 نتایج بهتری دارد.}, keywords_fa = {طب فشاری,تهوع,فتق مغبنی}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15764.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15764_b0f3b828b1bada87f31455160d41b874.pdf} }
