On the other hand, some studies have shown that the combination of activated charcoal with certain substances increases its adsorption cost. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of adding chitosan on the skin deposition of activated charcoal in rats.Methods: In this experimental study, 15 adult male Wistar rats were divided into three groups of four and one group of three. In the first group, chitosan topical gel, in the second group, chitosan topical gel containing 5% activated charcoal, and in the third group, the gel containing activated charcoal was rubbed to the skin surface of the posterior part of the rats' trunk area measuring one cm2, for ten days. The fourth group did not receive any treatment during the study period. Finally, the treated area of skin was cut locally and was stained using hematoxylin-eosin, and the amount of activated charcoal uptake was determined and compared.Findings: The mean accumulation and penetration of activated charcoal was 23.0 ± 7.3 and 18.0 ± 4.9 in the groups of activated charcoal plus chitosan and activated charcoal only, respectively, and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups. The highest accumulation and penetration of activated charcoal was observed in the group of activated charcoal plus chitosan.Conclusion: Activated charcoal in the presence of chitosan gel can pass through the horny and granulosa stratums of the rats’ skin. Therefore, in cases of need to more absorption, this combination can be useful.}, keywords = {Chitosan,Activated charcoal,Skin,Male}, title_fa = {بررسی اثر افزودن کیتوزان به زغال فعال در تجمع پوستی زغال فعال در مدل موش صحرایی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: کربن فعال، به گروهی از مواد کربنی با سطح تخلخل بالا گفته می‌شود که به علت قدرت جذب بالا، به ویژه جذب مواد سمی در بدن، بسیار مورد توجه قرار دارند. از طرف دیگر، برخی مطالعات نشان داده‌ است ترکیب زغال فعال با برخی مواد، منجر به افزایش قدرت جذب آن می‌گردد. از این رو، مطالعه‌ی حاضر، با هدف بررسی اثر افزودن کیتوزان به زغال فعال در تجمع پوستی زغال فعال در موش صحرایی انجام گرفت.روش‌ها: در این مطالعه‌ی تجربی، 15 سر موش صحرایی نر بالغ نژاد Wistar تهیه و در سه گروه 4تایی و یک گروه 3تایی تقسیم شدند. به مدت 10 روز، هر روز یک بار به گروه اول محلول کربن فعال، به گروه دوم ژل موضعی کیتوزان حاوی کربن فعال 5 درصد، به گروه سوم فقط ژل کیتوزان 5 درصد به به سطح پوست، قسمت خلفی تنه‌ی موش‌های صحرایی به مساحت 1 سانتی‌متر مربع مالیده شد و در گروه چهارم، مداخله‌ای انجام نشد. در نهایت، پوست ناحیه‌ی تیمار شده به صورت موضعی بریده و با استفاده از هماتوکسیلین- ائوزین رنگ‌آمیزی شد و میزان جذب کربن فعال در چهارگروه تعیین و مقایسه گردید.یافته‌ها: میانگین تجمع و نفوذ زغال در دو گروه زغال و کیتوزان به ترتیب 3/7 ± 0/23 و 9/4 ±0/18 بود و اختلاف معنی‌داری بین آن‌ها دیده نشد. بیشترین تجمع و نفوذ زغال و تجمع سلول‌های التهابی در گروه کیتوزان و زغال فعال مشاهده گردید.نتیجه‌گیری: استفاده از ژل موضعی زغال فعال همراه با کیتوزان، می‌تواند منجر به افزایش جذب پوستی زغال فعال در موش شود. از این رو، در موارد نیاز به جذب بالای زغال فعال، به احتمال زیاد ترکیب این ماده با کیتوزان می‌تواند کمک کننده باشد.}, keywords_fa = {کیتوزان,زغال فعال,پوست,موش صحرایی نر}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15931.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15931_0b50ba844f40715ae3df4c519bcb807b.pdf} }
