The present study aimed to determine the antibiotic resistance pattern and frequency of the multidrug-resistant (MDR) strains, and evaluate biofilm formation potential in the burn wound infection isolates.Methods: Biochemical and molecular tests were used for identification of the 117 strains collected from Isfahan City, Iran, during one-year period. Antibacterial susceptibility test was performed using disk diffusion and interpreted in accordance with the standards of Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). Biofilm formation was evaluated using microtiter plate assay.Findings: Of 117 clinical strains of A. baumannii, 114 (97.49%) were MDR. Strains showed maximum resistant to ceftazidime (99.14%) followed by ciprofloxacin (94.01%). 81.19% of isolates were able to form biofilm, 1.7% of strains were strong-biofilm producers, and 18.80% of them were notable biofilm producers. In this assessment, 42.73% and 36.75% were considered as moderate and weak biofilm-forming isolates, respectively.Conclusion: The high prevalence of A. baumannii in patients with burn wound, and the significant relationship between biofilm formation and resistance among the burn isolates indicate that antibiotic resistance is increasing rapidly, and soon many usable antibiotics will become ineffective medicines for treating patients. This needs an emergency actions and alternative ways to control these problems.}, keywords = {Antibiotic Resistance,Biofilm,Acinetobacter baumannii,Burns,, Wounds,Infection}, title_fa = {بررسی توان تشکیل بیوفیلم و تعیین الگوی مقاومت آنتی‌بیوتیکی در استرین‌های اسینتوباکتر بومانی جدا شده از بیماران با عفونت زخم سوختگی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: Acinetobacter baumannii، یک پاتوژن فرصت‌طلب با مقاومت آنتی‌بیوتیکی بالا و قابلیت تولید بیوفیلم در بیماران زخم سوختگی است. مطالعه‌ی حاضر، با هدف تعیین الگوی مقاومت آنتی‌بیوتیکی و فراوانی سویه‌های مقاوم به چند دارو و ارزیابی توان تشکیل بیوفیلم در ایزوله‌های زخم سوختگی انجام شد.روش‌ها: تعداد 117 ایزوله‌ی Acinetobacter baumannii از بیماران سوختگی شهر اصفهان جمع‌آوری شد. برای شناسایی ایزوله‌ی Acinetobacter baumannii، از روش‌های بیوشیمیایی و ژنتیک استفاده شد. حساسیت آنتی‌بیوتیکی به روش دیسک دیفیوژن بررسی شد و بر اساس استانداردهای Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) تفسیر گردید. قدرت تشکیل بیوفیلم به روش Microtiter plate assay مورد سنجش قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: از 117 ایزوله‌ی بالینی Acinetobacter baumannii، 114 مورد (49/97 درصد) ایزوله‌ی مقاوم چند دارویی (Multidrug resistance یا MDR) بودند. بیشترین مقاومت مربوط به سفتازیدیم (14/99 درصد) و سیپروفلوکساسین (01/94 درصد) بود. 19/81 درصد ایزوله‌ها، قادر به تشکیل بیوفیلم بودند. 7/1 درصد بیوفیلم قوی، 73/42 درصد بیوفیلم متوسط و 75/36 درصد بیوفیلم ضعیف داشتند و 80/18 درصد فاقد توان تشکیل بیوفیلم بودند.نتیجه‌گیری: فراوانی بالای Acinetobacter baumannii در بیماران سوختگی و ارتباط معنی‌دار بین تشکیل بیوفیلم و مقاومت به آنتی‌بیوتیک‌های مختلف در میان ایزوله‌های سوختگی نشان می‌دهد که مقاومت آنتی‌بیوتیکی به سرعت رو به افزایش است و به زودی بسیاری از آنتی‌بیوتیک‌های قابل استفاده به داروهایی ناکارآمد برای درمان بیماران تبدیل خواهند شد. بنابراین، بیماران نیازمند روش‌هایی غیر از درمان آنتی‌بیوتیکی خواهند بود.}, keywords_fa = {مقاومت آنتی‌بیوتیکی,بیوفیلم,عفونت زخم سوختگی,Acinetobacter baumannii}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15981.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_15981_d6241a1fc1d312a8d2bbd73a0d193f82.pdf} }
