This study aimed to evaluate the effect of local allergic reaction to intralesional Glucantime on recovery course of cutaneous leishmaniasis.Methods: In a retrospective cross-sectional study, the data of patient records of cases with cutaneous leishmaniasis, who underwent local treatment with Glucantime in Imam Reza dermatology clinic, Mashhad, Iran, from March 2006 to March 2011, were evaluated. All cases that showed a localized allergic reaction to Glucantime were selected as the case group and the cases of cutaneous leishmaniasis without any allergic reaction to treatment were selected as control group. Patients were evaluated in subsequent follow-up periods for improvement after Glucantime injection.Findings: The mean number of injections needed for complete recovery was 6.54± 3.76 in patients with topical allergic reaction and 9.77 ± 5.14 in control group; there was a statistically significant difference between two groups (P = 0.002). The time to complete recovery in patients with topical allergic reaction to Glucantime was insignificantly shorter.Conclusion: This study showed that patients with local allergic reaction to Glucantime require fewer numbers of injections to achieve complete recovery than non-allergic patients.}, keywords = {Glucantime,Cutaneous leishmaniasis,Allergic reaction}, title_fa = {تأثیر واکنش آلرژیک موضعی به گلوکانتیم داخل ضایعه‌ای بر روند بهبود لیشمانیوز جلدی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: تزریق سیستمیک یا داخل ضایعه‌ای گلوکانتیم در درمان لیشمانیوز جلدی،گاهی منجر به بروز واکنش آلرژیک موضعی می‌گردد. هدف از اجرای این مطالعه، بررسی تأثیر واکنش آلرژیک موضعی به گلوکانتیم در روند بهبود بیماری لیشمانیوز جلدی بود.روش‌ها: در یک مطالعه‌ی مقطعی گذشته‌نگر، داده‌های پرونده‌ی بیماران مبتلا به لشمانیوز جلدی که در درمانگاه پوست بیمارستان امام رضا (ع) از تاریخ اسفند 1384 تا اسفند 1389 تحت درمان موضعی با گلوکانتیم قرار گرفته بودند، مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. تمام مواردی که به گلوکانتیم واکنش آلرژیک موضعی نشان داده بودند، به عنوان گروه مورد و همچنین، مواردی از لیشمانیوز جلدی که هیچ گونه واکنش آلرژیک به درمان نشان ندادند، به عنوان گروه شاهد انتخاب شدند. بیماران در دوره‌های پی‌گیری بعدی از نظر میزان بهبودی بعد از تزریق گلوکانتیم مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفتند.یافته‌ها: میانگین تعداد تزریق مورد نیاز جهت دست‌یابی به بهبودی کامل در بیماران آلرژیک به گلوکانتیم 76/3 ± 54/6 و در بیماران گروه شاهد 14/5 ± 77/9 عدد بود و بین این دو گروه تفاوت آماری معنی‌داری مشاهده شد (002/0 = P). مدت زمان رسیدن به بهبودی کامل در بیماران دارای واکنش آلرژیک موضعی به گلوکانتیم، به طور غیر معنی‌داری از نظر آماری، کوتاه‌تر بود.نتیجه‌گیری: این مطالعه نشان داد بیمارانی که واکنش آلرژیک موضعی به گلوکانتیم را بروز می‌دهند، تا دست‌یابی به بهبودی کامل در مقایسه با بیماران غیر آلرژیک، نیاز به تعداد تزریق کمتری دارند.}, keywords_fa = {گلوکانتیم,لیشمانیوز جلدی,واکنش آلرژیک}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_16025.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_16025_149a91a250760ba69b571fada89a8cd0.pdf} }
