The aim of this study was to determine the effect of aromatherapy and lavender essential oils on the prevention of headache induced by infusion of Nitroglycerin in cardiac care units. Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, 45 patients with heart disease were selected by convenience sampling and randomly assigned into 3 groups. In the intervention groups (roses and lavender), as soon as the infusion of nitroglycerin was started, cotton submerged in 3 drops of the essential oil was inhaled for half an hour and no aromatherapy was used in the control group. The frequency of headache was measured by using visual analogue scale at 90 minutes after aromatherapy. In case of headache in any of the groups, usual treatment of headache, acetaminophen tablet 325 mg, was used. This was also recorded in the patient's checklist. Data were analyzed by SPSS at the significant level of 0.05. Findings: The frequency of headache during the study period was not statistically significant in the three groups. However, the amount of acetaminophen used to relieve headache in the rose group was less than the control and lavender groups significantly. Conclusion: Aromatherapy with rose and lavender essential oils may reduce the headache caused by infused nitroglycerin. Therefore, it is recommended to be considered as one of the effective treatments.}, keywords = {Aromatherapy,Headache,Nitroglycerin,Lavender,rose}, title_fa = {مقایسه‌ی تأثیر آروماتراپی با اسانس اسطوخودوس و گل سرخ بر پیشگیری از بروز سردرد ناشی از انفوزیون نیتروگلیسیرین در بیماران بستری در بخش مراقبت‌های ویژه‌ی قلب}, abstract_fa = {مقاله پژوهشی مقدمه: عارضه‌ی جانبی نیترات‌ها، سردرد است که مصرف این دارو را در بعضی بیماران محدود می‌کند. این مطالعه با هدف تعیین تأثیر رایحه‌درمانی با اسانس اسطوخودوس و گل سرخ بر پیشگیری از بروز سردرد در بیماران بستری بخش مراقبت‌های ویژه‌ی قلب، انجام شد. روش‌ها: در این کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی، 45 بیمار مبتلا به بیماری قلبی به روش در دسترس انتخاب و به‌ صورت تخصیص تصادفی در 3 گروه قرار گرفتند. در گروه‌های مداخله (گل سرخ و اسطوخودوس) به ‌محض شروع انفوزیون نیتروگلیسیرین، پنبه‌ی آغشته به 3 قطره از آن اسانس، به مدت نیم ساعت استنشاق گردید و در گروه شاهد، از هیچ رایحه‌درمانی استفاده نشد. با استفاده از مقیاس دیداری درد، در طی زمان‌های 15، 30، 60 و 90 دقیقه پس از رایحه‌درمانی، بروز سردرد بررسی شد. در صورت بروز سردرد در هر یک از گروه‌ها، از قرص استامینوفن 325 میلی‌گرمی جهت درمان معمول سردرد، استفاده و در چک‌لیست ثبت گردیده و سپس مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. یافته‌ها: فراوانی بروز سردرد در طی مدت مطالعه در سه گروه، تفاوت آماری معنی‌داری نداشت. اما میزان مصرف استامینوفن برای تخفیف سردرد در گروه گل سرخ، به طور معنی‌داری، کمتر از گروه‌های شاهد و اسطوخودوس بود. نتیجه‌گیری: رایحه‌درمانی با گل سرخ و اسطوخودوس، ممکن است احتمال بروز سردرد ناشی از نیتروگلیسیرین انفوزیونی، را کاهش دهد. لذا پیشنهاد می‌شود به ‌عنوان یکی از روش‌های درمانی مؤثر و کم عارضه مورد توجه قرار گیرد.}, keywords_fa = {رایحه‌درمانی,سردرد,نیتروگلیسیرین,اسطوخودوس,گل سرخ}, url = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_24331.html}, eprint = {https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_24331_90967386b1528e9c6926d41d53f9a185.pdf} }
