The aim of this study was to compare the preemptive effect of two drug combinations, ketamine–metoclopramide and acetaminophen–metoclopramide, on pain intensity following deep vitrectomy and to evaluate patients’ need for analgesic medication.<br>Methods: In a randomized clinical trial, 120 patients scheduled for deep vitrectomy were allocated into three groups. Post-surgery, patients received one of the studied drug combinations or standard care (control group). Pain intensity was recorded using the VAS scale at specific time intervals. Demographic data, hemodynamic parameters, recovery duration, and patient satisfaction were also documented. Data were analyzed using Chi-square tests, one-way ANOVA, and repeated measures ANOVA with SPSS version 24. A P-value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.<br>Findings: There were no significant differences among the three groups regarding age, sex, BMI, hemodynamic status, and patient satisfaction. The mean post-operative pain intensity was significantly lower in the ketamine–metoclopramide group compared to the other two groups. Furthermore, the requirement for supplemental analgesics showed a notable decrease in this group.<br>Conclusion: The use of the ketamine–metoclopramide combination can be considered an effective choice for short-term pain relief after deep vitrectomy, demonstrating superior performance in reducing pain intensity and the need for analgesics compared to the acetaminophen–metoclopramide combination and standard care. <strong><span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">مقدمه:</span></strong><span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA"> ویترکتومی عمیق، یکی از جراحی‌های تخصصی چشم است که به دلیل ماهیت تهاجمی آن، کنترل مؤثر درد پس از عمل اهمیت زیادی دارد. هدف این مطالعه، مقایسه‌ی اثر پیشگیرانه دو ترکیب دارویی کتامین- متوکلوپرامید و استامینوفن- متوکلوپرامید بر شدت درد پس از ویترکتومی عمیق و ارزیابی نیاز بیماران به داروهای ضد درد بود</span>.<br><strong><span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">روش‌ها:</span></strong> <span dir="RTL" lang="FA">در یک کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی، 120 بیمار کاندید ویترکتومی عمیق در سه گروه قرار گرفتند. بیماران پس از جراحی، یکی از ترکیبات دارویی مورد مطالعه یا درمان معمول (گروه شاهد) را دریافت کردند. شدت درد با مقیاس </span>(Visual Analog Scale) VAS<span dir="RTL" lang="FA"> در فواصل زمانی مشخص، همراه با داده‌های جمعیت‌شناختی، شاخص‌های همودینامیک، مدت زمان ریکاوری و میزان رضایت‌مندی بیماران ثبت و با آزمون‌های </span>Chi-square<span dir="RTL" lang="FA">، </span>One way ANOVA<span dir="RTL" lang="FA"> و </span>ANOVA with repeated t test<span dir="RTL" lang="FA"> تحلیل شد. </span>P<span dir="RTL" lang="FA"> کمتر از 05/0 معنی‌دار در نظر گرفته شد</span>.<br><strong><span dir="RTL" lang="FA">یافته‌ها:</span></strong><span dir="RTL" lang="FA"> سه گروه از نظر سن، جنس، شاخص توده‌ی بدنی، وضعیت همودینامیک و رضایت بیماران تفاوت معنی‌داری نداشتند. میانگین شدت درد پس از عمل در گروه دریافت‌کننده کتامین- متوکلوپرامید به‌طور معناداری کمتر از دو گروه دیگر بود. علاوه بر این، میزان نیاز به داروهای ضد درد تکمیلی در این گروه کاهش قابل‌توجهی نشان داد</span>.<br><strong><span dir="RTL" lang="FA">نتیجه‌گیری:</span> </strong><span dir="RTL" lang="FA">استفاده از ترکیب کتامین- متوکلوپرامید می‌تواند انتخابی مؤثر در کاهش درد کوتاه‌مدت پس از ویترکتومی عمیق در نظر گرفته شود و نسبت به ترکیب استامینوفن- متوکلوپرامید و درمان معمول، عملکرد بهتری در کاهش شدت درد و نیاز به داروهای ضد درد دارد</span> https://jims.mui.ac.ir/article_33402_7ca661b506ca99920dd077fc04c19715.pdf
