Background: Some depressed patients suffer from a lack of dignity. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Islamic dignity therapy on the life satisfaction of patients with diseases.
Methods: This research is a semi-experimental study in which a pre-test-post-test design with a control group was used. The population of this research is all people with initial symptoms of depression in Mashhad. 14 people with depression were selected as a voluntary sampling and were randomly divided into two control and experimental groups. The experimental group received the Islamic spiritual dignity therapy program during six sessions, while the control group did not undergo any intervention. To collect data, Diener's Life Satisfaction Questionnaire, five-question version, and Beck's 21-choice depression test were used, along with the full satisfaction and awareness of the group members, and the repeated measures method (ANCOVA) was used to analyze the findings.
Findings: The results of this research which was done in the year 2022, show that Islamic dignity therapy can significantly increase the life satisfaction component and decrease the depression components of people suffering from depression at a p level of less than five percent.
Conclusion: From these findings, it can be concluded that Islamic spiritual dignity therapy can be a suitable method to improve depression and increase life satisfaction of these people. Islamic dignity therapy can be used as an intervention with patients with lack sense of dignity.

Background: Smart hospitals try to reduce costs and increase the speed and accuracy by creating connection among service provider, care giver and equipment. Due to the lack of related tools for evaluating the level of smartness in hospitals, we presented this checklist.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at Alborz University of Medical Sciences from 2022 to 2023. Initially, the main domains and parameters of smart hospitals were collected and the content validity was determined by 14 experts- recording CVI and CVR scores. Then face validity and criterion validity were also examined. Also, the reliability was assessed with Cronbach's alpha coefficient.
Findings: Content validity of eight domains and 138 questions including: hospital building (32), hospital units (37), safety processes (17), clinical processes (6), management systems (6), patient processes (4), green management (21 indicators) and information technology (with 15) were approved. Also, face validity was approved by experts, criterion validity was obtained by expected results and reliability with Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.82).
Conclusion: Compared to existing tools, the domains and questions presented in this study are more comprehensive and accurate and specific to the hospital's structure which is recommended for assessing the level of smartness in hospitals.

Application and interpretation of statistical significance of association are the basic and necessary principle in medical research. Traditionally, hypothesis testing and reporting p-values have been extensively utilized to quantify the statistical significance of observed results. The majority of published research that involves statistical inference seems to make exclusive use of hypothesis testing, and summarize their findings only to statistical significance. Most importantly, p-value fail to provide two crucial pieces of information: (1) the magnitude of an effect of interest, and (2) the precision of the estimate of the magnitude of that effect. Currently, most of the reputable journals no longer accept statistical significance alone; and there has been increasing attention focused on the Effect size index, confidence limits along with clinical significant. However, there is no single guideline for reporting statistical and clinical significance, and there are inconsistencies between journals. The aim of this paper is to provide a correct and integrated instruction for reporting statistical and clinical significance in medical sciences employing an estimation approach (reporting confidence interval).
