		<Abstract>&lt;strong&gt;Background:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;em&gt; &lt;/em&gt;Restless leg syndrome (RLS) is a common complication of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Due to the ambiguity of the pathophysiology of this condition, the effect of the dialysis method and the relationship between the serum level of blood parameters and the severity of RLS incidence have not been well defined. In this study; the relationship between the dialysis method and the effect of blood calcium, phosphorus, parathyroid hormone, and vitamin D on the severity of restless leg syndrome has been investigated.
&lt;strong&gt;Methods:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;In this cross-sectional study, 165 hemodialysis patients and 110 peritoneal dialysis patients were included by referring to the dialysis department of Al-Zahra and Khurshid Hospital in Isfahan. Restless leg syndrome was diagnosed and ranked using international criteria, then the parameters of vitamin D, calcium, phosphorus, and parathyroid hormone were recorded and analyzed based on the results of the tests.
&lt;strong&gt;Findings:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;The results of the present study show that the dialysis method does not affect the frequency and severity of restless leg syndrome. In this research, the multiple regression model did not fit well in the hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis groups. Based on the results, the correlation values between calcium, PTH, and serum phosphorus variables in the two groups were positive, and the relationship between vitamin D and restless legs syndrome score was negative (P &lt; 0.05).
&lt;strong&gt;Conclusion:&lt;/strong&gt; Regularly monitoring biochemical markers such as vitamin D, phosphorus, calcium, and PTH levels in the blood serum of Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD) patients plays a crucial role in reducing the occurrence of restless leg syndrome in CKD patients.</Abstract>

		<Abstract>&lt;strong&gt;Background:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;em&gt; &lt;/em&gt;The increasing use of manual vibrating equipment for various construction works has exposed the workers of this industry to hand-arm vibration. The present study investigates the effect and frequency of hand-arm vibration on the vascular response of the hand in construction workers.
&lt;strong&gt;Methods:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;The present study was conducted on 40 workers in the construction industry in the laboratory phase. Using the hand-arm vibration simulator, the participants were exposed to 4 different scenarios of hand-arm vibration 5 m/s&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; (125Hz), 5 m/s&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; (63Hz), 5 m/s&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; (31.5Hz), and 10 m/s&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; (31.5Hz). Before and after each scenario, the hand&#039;s vascular response was analyzed to detect the degree of vascular obstruction using the Nexus-4 device along with the BVP sensor.
&lt;strong&gt;Findings:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;The results of the present study showed that the relative blood flow of the finger decreased in all scenarios of exposure to hand-arm vibration and had statistically significant changes. The mean difference of the relative blood flow of the finger in the exposure to hand-arm vibration 10 m/s&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; (31.5Hz) was more than other scenarios. Examining the scenarios with the same vibration acceleration of 5 m/s&lt;sup&gt;2&lt;/sup&gt; and different frequencies of 125, 63, and 31.5 Hz showed that with increasing frequency, the amount of relative blood flow decreased.
&lt;strong&gt;Conclusion:&lt;/strong&gt; The frequency of exposure to hand-arm vibration, like the acceleration encountered, is fundamental very important in causing vascular complications. The higher the frequency of hand-arm vibration, the more vascular disorders in the fingers.

		<Abstract>&lt;strong&gt;Background:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;em&gt; &lt;/em&gt;The revised program of general medical education was implemented from 2018 based on horizontal integration and device-oriented presentation, especially in the topics of physiology and anatomical sciences. The present study aims to investigate the effect of horizontal integration in the teaching of basic science courses in general medicine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Methods:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;In this combined study, we compared students&#039; performance in general medical basic science courses before and after the 2022 revision at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. In the quantitative stage, the study included 224 participants using the census method to extract their personal information and indicators related to academic progress.  In the qualitative phase, semi-structured interviews with the teachers of this program were conducted until the information was saturated and analyzed with the conventional content analysis method.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Findings:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;The average grade point average of the basic science course, the number of conditional semesters, and the number of failed courses of students in different entrances had no statistically significant difference with each other (P &gt; 0.05), but the average grade point average of anatomical sciences was higher after integration &lt;br /&gt;(P &lt; 0.001). In the qualitative part of the total interviews, 249 codes were extracted from 2 main floors of university policies and upstream policies and 6 sub-floors including educational planning, faculty members, and students in each main floor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Conclusion:&lt;/strong&gt; Except for the increase in anatomical sciences score after the revision, there was no significant difference in other indicators of academic progress. This can be attributed to the entry of more students with weaker ranks in the entrance exam, also to the short time interval between the intervention and the evaluation of the results</Abstract>
