		<Abstract>&lt;strong&gt;Background:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;em&gt; &lt;/em&gt; One of the unwanted effects after rhinoplasty surgery is ecchymosis and edema. Considering the importance of the health and satisfaction of patients after rhinoplasty surgery, proper and efficient management is one of the first goals of doctors after surgery. As a result, the purpose of this research is to compare the intensity of the effect of oral corticosteroid and pineapple extract and placebo on the treatment of ecchymosis and edema after rhinoplasty surgery.
&lt;strong&gt;Methods:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;The statistical population includes people who went to Al-Zahra Hospital and Kashani Hospital for rhinoplasty surgery in 2023. Patients were randomly selected from among 60 patients referred for rhinoplasty surgery, who were randomly divided into appropriate groups treated with placebo, oral corticosteroids, and pineapple extract.
&lt;strong&gt;Findings:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;The findings showed that there is no significant difference between the effect of oral corticosteroid and pineapple extract and placebo on the treatment of ecchymosis and edema one day and two weeks after rhinoplasty surgery; However, there is a significant difference between the effect of oral corticosteroid and pineapple extract and placebo on the treatment of ecchymosis and edema one week after rhinoplasty surgery (P &lt; 0.001).
&lt;strong&gt;Conclusion:&lt;/strong&gt; It is concluded that oral corticosteroids are more effective in treating ecchymosis and edema one week after surgery than rhinoplasty surgery. Oral corticosteroids can be used as an effective treatment method. Pineapple extract does not have a significant effect in reducing edema and ecchymosis after surgery, so extra costs can be avoided by preventing the administration of pineapple extract.</Abstract>

		<Abstract>&lt;strong&gt;Background:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;em&gt; &lt;/em&gt; Iterative reconstruction algorithms have been suggested to reduce the dose in CT scans, but their effect on image quality needs more investigation. This study evaluates the impact of the Iterative Reconstruction in Image Space (IRIS) algorithm on image quality in contrast-enhanced abdominal-pelvic CT.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Methods:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;Port phase images of 200 patients were reconstructed with IRIS and Filtered Back Projection algorithms (FBP). CT number, noise, and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) were measured for the liver, kidney, spleen, lumbar muscles, vertebral bone, spinal cord, and abdominal aorta. Two experienced radiologists scored the images.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Findings:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;There was no significant difference in CT numbers of the organs under study between FBP and IRIS algorithms (P ˃ 0.05), but the noise difference was significant for all organs (P ˂ 0.05).  The SNR of the aorta and spleen for IRIS was higher than FBP (P ˂ 0.05). The average score of images for FBP and IRIS was 4.12 ± 1.35 and 3.91 ± 0.84, respectively. The Kappa coefficient was reported to be 0.73 with P ˂ 0.01.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Conclusion:&lt;/strong&gt; The IRIS algorithm does not change the CT number of tissue but reduces the image noise. However, the subjective score of IRIS is less compared to FBP. Optimal use of IRIS in different CT scan protocols requires the collaboration between radiologists and CT technologists.</Abstract>

The research compared the titers of anti-Toxoplasma antibodies in diabetic patients with those in a healthy control group, considering the impaired immune function in these patients.
&lt;strong&gt;Methods:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;A study conducted in Zabol City from October 2019 to January 2021 involved 45 individuals with Type 1 Diabetes and 45 healthy participants. The ELISA method was used to measure IgM and IgG anti-Toxoplasma antibodies.
&lt;strong&gt;Findings:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;In the diabetic group, twenty samples were positive for IgG antibodies, and five were positive for both IgG and IgM antibodies. In the Control Group, all twenty samples were positive for IgG antibodies, and none were positive for IgM antibodies.
&lt;strong&gt;Conclusion:&lt;/strong&gt; Although there is no significant link between type 1 diabetes and IgG, a statistical association was found between IgM and a higher risk of toxoplasmosis infection. The existence of confounding factors necessitates further investigation to fully understand the link between type 1 diabetes and toxoplasmosis in this domain.</Abstract>
