Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) including but not limited to cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), cancers, diabetes mellitus (DM), high blood pressure (hypertension), Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), are the predominant causes of death worldwide, and Projections suggest that this trend will persist in the forthcoming years. This is despite the fact that many of the factors that cause the mentioned diseases, (including smoking, obesity, inactivity, alcohol consumption, and stress) can be prevented or controlled to a large extent. Lifestyle medicine is a specialty in medicine, that employs interventions to prevent and even treat those diseases associated with people's lifestyle. This approach encompasses 6 principles; healthy eating pattern, sufficient physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, and positive social connections. In recent years, the use of lifestyle medicine, to treat non-communicable diseases (NCDs), has gained worldwide acceptance.
