بررسی ارتباط تابش نور خورشید، رطوبت نسبی هوا و میانگین دمای سالیانه با ابتلا به بیماری Multiple Sclerosis در استان اصفهان بین سال‌های 93-1380

چکیده

مقدمه: Multiple sclerosis (MS)، یک بیماری خود ایمنی مرتبط با التهاب سیستم اعصاب مرکزی انسان است که در ارتباط با عوامل ژنتیکی و محیطی می‌باشد. طول و عرض جغرافیایی، زندگی در سواحل و تماس با آلاینده‌های محیطی در ارتباط با ابتلا به این بیماری می‌باشند. مطالعه‌ی حاضر، با هدف بررسی ارتباط برخی عوامل محیطی با ابتلا به MS در استان اصفهان انجام شد.روش‌ها: مطالعه‌ی حاضر، به صورت توصیفی- تحلیلی جهت بررسی ارتباط میزان تابش، رطوبت نسبی و دما با ابتلا به MS بر روی 2000 بیمار در استان اصفهان بین سال‌های 93-1380 انجام شد. جهت تهیه‌ی نقشه‌های جغرافیایی، از نرم‌افزار Arc GIS و برای تجزیه و تحلیل آماری داده‌ها، از نرم‌افزار SPSS و آزمون‌های Kruskal-Wallis، مقایسه‌ی نسبت‌ها، رگرسیون لجستیک و ضریب همبستگی استفاده شد.یافته‌ها: میزان بروز تجمعی 13 ساله‌ی بیماری MS در استان اصفهان 26/48، در مردان 97/20 و در زنان 38/76 در 100000 نفر برآورد شد. ارتباط آماری معنی‌داری بین تابش نور خورشید با ابتلا به بیماری MS مشاهده شد، اما میانگین رطوبت نسبی و دما در این زمینه ارتباط معنی‌داری را نشان نداد.نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس یافته‌ها، میزان تابش نور خورشید با ابتلا به بیماری MS در استان اصفهان ارتباط دارد، اما ارتباطی بین میانگین دمای سالیانه و رطوبت نسبی مشاهده نشد. از این رو، پیشنهاد می‌گردد مطالعاتی در سطح فردی جهت بررسی این رابطه انجام شود.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease associated with inflammation of the central nervous system in humans that is associated with genetic and environmental factors. Geographical latitude and longitude, life on coastal, and exposure to environmental pollutants are associated with the disease. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between environmental factors with the risk of multiple sclerosis in Isfahan province, Iran.Methods: This cross-sectional study assessed the association of radiation, relative humidity, and temperature with the risk of multiple sclerosis in 2000 patients between the years 2001 to 2014 in Isfahan province. The geographical mapping was done using Arc GIS software and statistical analysis was done via SPSS software using logistic regression and correlation coefficient tests.Findings: The 13-year cumulative incidence rate of multiple sclerosis in Isfahan province was estimated 48.26 per 100000 person, 20.97 in men and 76.38 in women. Significant association was observed between the sunlight radiations with the risk of multiple sclerosis; but the average relative humidity and temperature in this area did not show any significant relationship with the risk of multiple sclerosis.Conclusion: Based on the findings, sunlight associated with multiple sclerosis in Isfahan province; but there was no relationship between the average annual temperature and relative humidity. Therefore, it is recommended that studies be done on individual level to investigate this relationship
