بررسی تأثیر تجویز مکمل ویتامین D بر کاهش اندازه‌ی لیومیوم‌های رحمی در زنان دچارکمبود ویتامین D

چکیده

مقدمه: با توجه به شیوع بالای لیومیوم‌های رحمی و کمبود ویتامین D، این مطالعه با هدف تعیین تأثیر تجویز مکمل ویتامین D بر اندازه‌ی لیومیوم رحمی در زنان مبتلا به لیومیوم‌های رحمی که دچار کمبود ویتامین D بودند، انجام شد.روش‌ها: در یک مطالعه‌ی کارآزمایی بالینی دو سو کور، 70 بیمار مبتلا به لیومیومای رحمی که کمبود ویتامین D داشتند، در دو گروه 35 نفره توزیع شدند. گروه اول، 50 هزار واحد مکمل ویتامین D، هر دو هفته یک بار به مدت 10 هفته دریافت کردند و گروه دوم، دارونما دریافت نمودند. بیماران دو گروه در قبل و 10 هفته بعد از اتمام مداخله‌، از نظر سطح سرمی ویتامین D و اندازه‌ی میوم رحمی مورد بررسی و مقایسه قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: سطح سرمی ویتامین D در 10 هفته بعد از اتمام مداخله، در گروه دریافت کننده‌ی ویتامین D، 15/11 ± 08/36 و در گروه شاهد 52/5 ± 25/16 نانوگرم/دسی‌لیتر بود و اختلاف دو گروه معنی‌دار بود (001/0 > P). میانگین اندازه‌ی لیومیوم در 10 هفته بعد از اتمام مداخله، در گروه ویتامین D به 14/14 ± 58/52 و در گروه شاهد به 5/12 ± 11/61 میلی‌متر رسید و اختلاف دو گروه معنی‌دار بود (006/0 = P).نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس یافته‌های مطالعه‌ی حاضر، تجویز ویتامین D باعث کاهش اندازه‌ی میوم رحمی می‌شود. از این رو، به نظر می‌رسد که تجویز ویتامین D روش مناسبی برای درمان لیومیوم باشد.

Background: Regarding the high prevalence of uterine leiomyoma and vitamin D deficiency, this study aimed to determine the effect of administration of vitamin D supplement on the amount of uterine leiomyoma in women with vitamin D deficiency.Methods: In a double-blind clinical trial, 70 patients with uterine leiomyoma and vitamin D deficiency were distributed in two equal groups, which received supplements of 50,000 unit of vitamin D every two weeks for 10 weeks and placebo, respectively. Serum level of vitamin D and size of uterine leiomyoma was measured in both groups before and 10 weeks after treatment, and compared between the two groups.Findings: 10 weeks after the intervention, serum level of vitamin D was 36.08 ± 11.15 and 16.25 ± 5.52 ng/dl in case and control groups, respectively, and the difference between the two groups was significant (P < 0.001). Moreover, 10 weeks after the intervention, the mean size of leiomyoma was 52.58 ± 14.4 and 61.11 ± 12.5 mm in case and control groups, respectively, and the difference between the two groups was significant (P = 0.006).Conclusion: The findings suggest that vitamin D intake decreases the amount of uterine leiomyoma, and therefore it seems that vitamin D is a good way to treat leiomyoma.
