Abstract
Continuous and close interaction of school staff with students allows for the identification of signs of domestic violence in children, which allows for rapid intervention. Although immediate response to suspected cases of domestic violence places a heavy emotional burden on them, these reactions also bring emotional exhaustion and complex ethical and organizational conflicts. Although attention to child protection in educational settings has increased, there is still little information about the emotional and professional challenges of staff when dealing with child victims of domestic violence.

Objective:
The objective of this study was to investigate the experiences of school staff in dealing with domestic violence against children, with a main focus on emotional-affective responses, organizational challenges, and ethical concerns. The coping strategies used by this group were also analyzed.
Method
This study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive design, and the data were analyzed through traditional qualitative content analysis. The statistical sample included 16 staff members of elementary schools in Tehran, including principals, deputy principals, counselors, and teachers. Participants were selected purposively with maximum diversity. The entry requirement was to have at least one year of experience
