Abstract
Background: Early clinical exposure (ECE) is increasingly recognized as an effective educational strategy to bridge the gap between preclinical learning and clinical practice in dental education.
Objective: This systematic review aimed to synthesize and summarize global evidence on the impact of early clinical exposure on undergraduate dental students.
Methods: A systematic search of PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science was conducted from the inception of these databases to October 2025. Studies were included in the review. Background: Early clinical exposure (ECE) is increasingly recognized as an effective educational strategy to bridge the gap between preclinical learning and clinical practice in dental education.
