ارتباط هوش هیجانی و مؤلفه‌های روان‌شناختی در نوجوانان

چکیده

مقدمه: در پژوهش‌های مختلف، ارتباط بین هوش هیجانی و مؤلفه‌های روان‌شناختی در زندگی و ارتباطات بین فردی در دوران بزرگ‌سالی بررسی شده است. هدف از انجام مطالعه‌ی حاضر، تعیین ارتباط هوش هیجانی و مؤلفه‌های روان‌شناختی در نوجوانان بود.روش‌ها: این مطالعه بر روی 185 دانش‌آموز شامل 101 پسر و 84 دختر انجام شد. به منظور بررسی هوش هیجانی، از پرسش‌نامه‌ی هوش هیجانی نوجوانان و برای بررسی مؤلفه‌های روان‌شناختی، از پرسش‌نامه‌ی Symptom Checklist-90-Revised (SCL-90-R) استفاده شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS و آزمون آماری ضریب همبستگی Pearson مورد آنالیز قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: تفاوت معنی‌داری بین زیر مقیاس‌های هوش هیجانی در دو جنس مختلف و همچنین، در سنین مختلف مشاهده نشد. هوش هیجانی، با زیر مقیاس‌های مؤلفه‌های روان‌شناختی شامل پرخاشگری (013/0 = P)، وسواس (037/0 = P)، شکایت جسمانی (040/0 = P)، افسردگی (010/0 = P) و ترس مرضی (030/0 = P) در سنین مورد مطالعه و هر دو جنس ارتباط معکوسی داشت. این ارتباط، در صورت حذف متغیرهای سن و جنس نیز وجود داشت.نتیجه‌گیری: هوش هیجانی، با زیر مقیاس‌های روان‌شناختی شامل پرخاشگری، وسواس، شکایات جسمانی، افسردگی و ترس مرضی ارتباط معکوسی دارد. این امر، بر ضرورت آموزش هوش هیجانی در مدارس تأکید می‌کند.

Background: In different studies, the relationship of emotional intelligence with psychological sign and symptoms and it's subscales in life and inter-personal relationship in adulthood has been proved. Our purpose in this study was to identify the relationship between emotional intelligence and mental health in adolescents.Methods: This study was done on 185 students (101 boys and 84 girls) in Isfahan city, Iran. Emotional intelligence questionnaire was used to investigate emotional intelligence in target group and for evaluation of psychological sign and symptoms, we used Symptom Checklist-90-Revised (SCL-90R) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient.Findings: There was no significant difference in prevalence of emotional intelligence scales in different sexes and ages. Emotional intelligence had inverse relationship with psychological symptoms parameter including aggression (P = 0.013), obsession (P = 0.037), somatization (P = 0.040), depression (P = 0.010) and phobia (P = 0.030) in both girls and boys. This inverse relationship existed after exclusion of age and sex as confounding variables.Conclusion: In present study, it was determined that emotional intelligence had invert relationship with psychological symptoms subscales including aggression, obsession, somatization, depression, and phobia. These improvements revealed the necessity of research and training of emotional intelligence in schools.
