اثر کروسین بر بیماری‌های التهابی روده

چکیده
بیماری‌های التهابی روده (Inflammatory bowel diseases) از جمله بیماری‌های مهم دستگاه گوارش در انسان می‌باشند و شناخته شده‌ترین آن‌ها بیماری کولیت اولسراتیو و بیماری کرون می‌باشد. اگر چه شیوع این بیماری‌ها در کشورهای پیشرفته بیشتر است، اما آمار مبتلایان به آن در کشورهای در حال پیشرفت از جمله ایران در سال‌های اخیر رشد چشمگیری داشته است. عوارض ناشی از التهاب و اثرات سیستمیک و مخرب آن در این دسته از بیماری‌ها ضرورت درمان سریع را ایجاب می‌کند. اهمیت لزوم تشخیص و درمان مناسب این بیماری‌ها زمانی بیشتر گردید که سرطان کولون به عنوان یکی از عوارض خطرناک این بیماری مطرح گردید. زعفران، به عنوان فراورده‌ی گیاهی از گذشته تاکنون به عنوان داروی گیاهی در بیماری‌های مختلفی مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است. از جمله‌ی این اثرات، اثرات آنتی‌اکسیدانی، ضد التهابی و ضد سرطانی است. این مطالعه‌ی مروری، با هدف بررسی اثر کروسین بر فرایند التهاب به خصوص در بیماری‌های التهابی روده انجام شد.

چکیده English

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) are among important gastrointestinal diseases in human and include ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Although the prevalence of these diseases in developed countries is high, however, their prevalence is increasing in developing countries such as Iran, too. Treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases at the early stages is very important because of chronic inflammation and its complications on different parts of the body. One of the most important consequences of chronic inflammation is colitis-induced colon cancer. Saffron is a traditionally herbal drug used by people in Asia especially Iran. It has several beneficial effects on the body especially as anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer. In this paper, we reviewed the effect of crocin on inflammation process especially in inflammatory bowel diseases.
