Introduction and Objective: CBCT is widely used for implant planning. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the depth of the submandibular gland fossa and its relationship with the mandibular canal using cone beam computed tomography.
Methods: This study was performed retrospectively using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images of the mandible of patients in the archives of the Department of Maxillofacial Radiology, Jundishapur Dental School, Ahvaz, in 1400 who had referred for various reasons, including implant placement. All patient information, including age, sex, side, depth of SMF, and position of the canal relative to it, was collected and analyzed in an information form.Introduction and Objective: CBCT is widely used for implant planning.
