چکیده

سردبیر محترم مجله دانشکده‌ی پزشکی اصفهاندر سال‌‌های اخیر، اثرات مفید عصاره‌ی زنجبیل (Zingiber zerumbet) بر روی نفروپاتی دیابتی مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. در یک مطالعه‌ی آزمایشگاهی اثر حفاظتی عصاره‌ی زنجبیل بر روی آسیب کلیوی ایجاد شده بر روی موش‌های دیابتی بررسی شده است (1). در این مطالعه، موش‌های دیابتی برای مدت 8 هفته تحت درمان خوراکی با متفورمین یا زنجبیل قرار گرفتند....

Dear Editor-in-Chief,Recently, much attention had been directed toward protective efficacy of Ginger in diabetic nephropathy. Recent studies have shown the combination of metformin and ginger extract may be more effective for the control of diabetes and may have additive protective efficacy on diabetic nephropathy. In this regard, to understand the kidney protective properties of Ginger better, especially in combination with metformin, more experimental rat models or clinical studies are suggested.
